This document provides a beginner's guide for users to get started with TDSQL-C for MySQL.

1. Basic Concepts of TDSQL-C for MySQL

2. Billing Modes of TDSQL-C for MySQL

TDSQL-C for MySQL includes two types of instances. One type is provisioned resources, which support pay-as-you-go and yearly/monthly subscription billing modes. The other type is Serverless instances, which are billed separately for compute and storage resources. Compute resources are billed by the number of CCUs, while storage resources are billed by the usage in GB. The billing system calculates the usage by second and settles fees by hour. You can also purchase resource packs at a discount to deduct the resource usage. A comprehensive understanding of the billing modes helps you select the best billing mode of TDSQL-C for MySQL. 4.1 Purchasing TDSQL-C for MySQL

Before using TDSQL-C for MySQL, you need to register a Tencent Cloud account and purchase TDSQL-C for MySQL. For details, see Signing Up for a Tencent Cloud Account and Creating a Cluster.

4.2 Connecting to TDSQL-C for MySQL

After TDSQL-C for MySQL is purchased successfully, you can access it by logging in to the console or through a Windows CVM or Linux CVM by using a private or public network method. For details, see Connecting to TDSQL-C for MySQL.
