When the available balance in your account is insufficient to complete the payment, the account enters an overdue payment status, and cluster operations may be affected. Top up your account promptly.

Overdue Payments for Yearly/Monthly Subscription Clusters

Alarms

After you specify the message recipients and delivery methods on the Message Subscription Management page, you will receive the following alarm information.
Alarm Type
Description
Expiration alarm
The cluster will push expiration alarm messages to you on the 7th day, 5th day, 3rd day, and 1st day before expiration, as well as on the expiration date. The alarm messages will be pushed through email and Short Message Service (SMS) to the creator of the Tencent Cloud account, global resource collaborators, and financial collaborators.
Overdue payment alarm
The cluster will push alarm messages about isolation due to overdue payment to you on and after the expiration date. The alarm messages will be sent through email and SMS to the creator of the Tencent Cloud account and all collaborators.

7 days before expiration
The system will send you a renewal reminder notification.
On the expiration date
If your account balance is sufficient and you have enabled auto-renewal, the system will perform auto-renewal on the expiration date.
If your account has an overdue payment and neither auto-renewal nor manual renewal is performed, it will enter the isolation period on the expiration date.
Within 7 days after expiration
The cluster status is displayed as Isolated, and the data and configurations stored in the cluster will not be deleted.
During this period, you can manually renew the cluster. After renewal, the cluster will resume normal status. The renewal cycle starts from the expiration date of the previous cycle.
More than 7 days after expiration
If the cluster is not renewed within 7 days (up to and including day 7) after expiration, the system will release its resources within approximately 24 hours. Data in expired clusters will be purged and become irrecoverable.

Overdue Payments for Pay-as-You-Go Clusters

After you specify the message recipients and delivery methods on the Message Subscription Management page, you will receive the following alarm information.

Overdue payment reminder
The system will deduct fees for pay-as-you-go resources at each full hour. When your account balance becomes negative, we will notify the Tencent Cloud account creator, as well as global resource collaborators and financial collaborators through email and SMS.
Overdue payment alarm
This feature is disabled by default. If you need to use this feature, see Balance Alarm Guide.

Handling Overdue Payments

From the moment your account balance becomes negative, TDMQ for Apache Pulsar can continue to be used for up to 24 hours and will continue to incur fees. After 24 hours, the service will be stopped.
After the service is stopped, the system performs the following operations on TDMQ for Apache Pulsar:

If your account is topped up and the account balance exceeds 0, billing will resume and you can continue to use TDMQ for Apache Pulsar.
If your account balance is less than 0, you cannot use TDMQ for Apache Pulsar.
> 7 days
If your account balance is less than 0, the pay-as-you-go TDMQ for Apache Pulsar resources will be deleted, and all data will be cleared and cannot be recovered. When the TDMQ for Apache Pulsar resources are deleted, we will notify the creator of the Tencent Cloud account and all collaborators through email and SMS.

Must-Knows

After you receive an overdue payment notification, go to the Top-up Center in the console to top up your account to prevent any impact on your business.
