Client Attestation is an enhanced security feature under the EdgeOne Bot Management module. It identifies legitimate clients through client-side security mechanisms, verifies the identification information carried in requests at edge nodes, accurately identifies clients from abnormal sources, and thus defends against malicious crawlers and automated tool attacks. Client Attestation is billed based on two dimensions: feature fees and usage fees.
Feature fees are charged monthly based on the subscribed edition tier, with different editions offering differentiated detection and protection capabilities. Monthly feature fees: Basic Edition USD 0/month, Professional Edition USD 440/month, and Advanced Edition USD 14,000/month. The subscription is on a monthly basis, and overdue payments or unsubscription will affect the corresponding capabilities.
Usage fees are settled based on the actual number of client attestation requests generated, regardless of the feature edition. Usage fees are incurred whenever a client attestation rule is enabled, and they are billed by the number of requests by default.
Attention:
1. The Client Attestation feature can only be used normally when the BOT feature is enabled. Before subscribing, make sure that BOT Management is enabled. 2. Client Attestation feature fees are locked for the subscription month and are non-refundable. If your account has an overdue payment, the corresponding edition capabilities will be suspended until the payment is renewed.

Client Attestation offers three editions: Basic, Professional, and Advanced. These editions differ in the depth of risk control policies, the granularity of request risk scoring, and origin protection capabilities. For details on the capability differences between editions, see the table below.

1. The feature fee for the Basic Edition of Client Attestation is USD 0/month, but client attestation request fees are still incurred, so it is not completely free.
2. Available third-party risk control services are subject to the list of services that are actually supported.

Usage fees for Client Attestation are incurred regardless of the feature edition you subscribe to. A brief introduction is provided below.

2. The Client Attestation feature can only be used normally when the BOT feature is enabled. Therefore, if request-based billing is selected, fees for BOT requests are charged additionally. Example 1: Purchasing a Client Attestation Pro Plan with Per-Request Billing
Assume that a user purchases and activates the Professional Edition of Client Attestation on August 1 and generates a total of 100 million client attestation requests during the entire month of August. The fees for August are settled as follows:

Purchase and Activation
You can subscribe to and activate the Client Attestation edition through the EdgeOne console:
2. In the left navigation pane, choose Security Protection > Client Attestation > Attestation Options > Custom Attestation. The page shows that the current edition is Basic (Free) by default.
3. Click "Adjust Subscription", select the desired feature edition (Pro / Advanced) in the activation pop-up, where the monthly feature fee and usage-based billing description of the selected edition will be displayed. Confirm before submitting.
4. After submission, you can view the currently subscribed edition on the Attestation Options page and confirm that the subscription status has been updated to the target edition.
