Overview

Tencent Container Security Service (TCSS) provides container asset management, image security, and runtime intrusion detection security services. It safeguards containers from image generation, storage in, to runtime environment, ensuring full lifecycle security and helping enterprises build a container security protection system.
All TCSS APIs introduced in this chapter comply with the latest OpenAPI 3.0 specification.
You can call APIs to perform TCSS operations, such as container asset management, image security scanning and runtime intrusion detection.

Common terminology for TCSS API interface see the table below:

Term Description
Asset Management The automated asset counting feature provides inventory checks for key asset information such as containers, local images, and repository images, helping businesses visualize assets.
Image Security Quickly checks local images and repository images for vulnerabilities, trojans, viruses, sensitive data, and more.
Runtime security. Real-time monitoring and container runtime security protection provide security features such as container escape, rebound Shell, and malicious file scan to detect abnormal behavior and intrusion attacks, protecting container runtime security.

Getting Started with APIs

You can use the API Explorer tool to call APIs online.
This document uses container baseline detection as an example. The steps to make an API call via the API Explorer Tool are as follows:

  1. Go to the API Explorer tool page. For more information about API Explorer tool usage, see Using API Explorer.
  2. Call the security compliance create compliance check task API to initiate a baseline detection task for assets (container/mirror/host/K8S asset).
  3. Call the security compliance query last task asset pass rate summary information api to query summary information of various assets detection pass rate.
  4. Call the security compliance query last task detection item summary information list api to query the summary of results for each detection item.
  5. Call the security compliance query for a list of certain assets API to query the asset list of various types involved in detection.
