Overview
Prepaid by year/month: Cloud Virtual Desktop (CVD) instances do not support 5-day unconditional full refund. The remaining value will be refunded to your Tencent Cloud account based on usage.
Pay-as-you-go (postpaid): CVD resources are directly released upon deletion, and no refund request is required.
Note:
Discounts or vouchers are non-refundable.
The refund amount will be returned to your Tencent Cloud account in full using the original payment method.
Must-Knows
After a CVD instance is created, you cannot separately delete or refund the disk resources. Proceed with caution when you choose to delete or refund them.
CVD does not offer a recycle bin mechanism. After deletion/refund, all data on the cloud disks will be cleared and cannot be recovered. Inform the user in advance to back up data.
Standard Self-Service Refund
For regular self-service refund requests of CVD instances, the refund policy is as follows:
Once the status of a CVD instance changes to Deleting or Deleted after a self-service refund, no further fees related to the instance (including computing and storage resources) will be incurred.
On the day the user requests a refund: If the yearly/monthly subscription CVD instance has been used for one or more full months, fees for those months are deducted based on the yearly/monthly subscription price and the applicable official discount. If the usage is less than a full month, fees are deducted based on the actual usage duration and the pay-as-you-go price. Calculation formula: Refund amount = Actual payment amount - Used duration x Pay-as-you-go unit price x Applicable discount.
If the calculated refund amount for a yearly/monthly subscription CVD instance is less than or equal to 0, it is set to 0, and the corresponding resources are released.
Pay-as-you-go instances will be billed based on your actual resource usage (with duration calculated in seconds) upon refund.
Each account can perform self-service refunds for up to 199 yearly/monthly subscription CVD instances in the console.

Order amount = CVD - Graphics G1_4-core 16 GB + CVD system disk: Cloud SSD 100 GB + CVD data disk: Premium Disk 200 GB = USD 240 + USD 18 + USD 10 = USD 268
Actual payment amount = USD 268 x 1 month x 0.85 = USD 227.8
Self-Service Refund of CVD Instances
You request a refund within five days of purchase due to business changes. This is not the account's first refund request of the year, and the total usage duration of the instance is 48 hours. The account has not exceeded the quota of 199 standard self-service refunds for this instance type.
Refund amount = USD 227.8 - 48 hours x 0.57 USD/hour x 0.85 = USD 204.544
Note:
The unit price of 0.57 USD/hour applies to pay-as-you-go instances with equivalent configurations, covering both computing and storage resources.
