This document describes how to configure additional disk I/O performance and provides related information.
Note:
When you perform operations such as cross-AZ migration / instance specification adjustment / instance edition upgrade that trigger a data migration scenario, system databases are not migrated. Do not create business-related data under system databases to avoid data loss after migration. Furthermore, under the aforementioned operation scenarios, non-standard system database operations and instance-level operations are not migrated together. You must handle them manually after the migration is completed.
Supported Versions
Single-node, two-node, multi-node, and read-only instances of the Cloud Disk Edition architecture are all supported.
Currently, only Enhanced SSD supports configuring additional I/O performance..
Feature Usage Conditions
Currently, additional disk I/O performance can be configured only for Enhanced SSD CBS with a storage capacity greater than or equal to 460 GB.

Operation Steps
Setting Disk Additional I/O Performance When Creating an Instance
You can log in to the TencentDB for SQL Server purchase page. When creating a new instance, select an instance that meets the edition and architecture requirements. Then, configure the Additional performance option as needed. For the complete configuration steps on the purchase page, see Purchase Methods. 2. In the Instance Information section on the right side of the instance details page, locate the primary node information and click Adjust Performance after Disk Performance.
3. In the pop-up window, configure additional performance, pass the resource check, select the effective time, and then click OK.
Additional Performance: 0 - 650, with a step size of 10.
Resource Inspection: The system performs a resource pre-check to determine whether the selected specification configuration has sufficient resources. If resources are sufficient, the check passes, and you can proceed to the next step. If resources are insufficient, change the configuration and perform the resource pre-check again. You can proceed to the next step only after the pre-check passes.
Time to Take Effect:
During Maintenance time: This indicates that the change takes effect during the maintenance window. You can modify the maintenance time on the instance details page.
Adjust now: This indicates that the change takes effect immediately after the task is submitted.
Viewing Disk Performance of an Instance
2. In the Instance Information section on the right side of the instance details page, locate the primary node information. Move the mouse pointer over the value of Disk Performance to view the instance's disk performance.

If no additional I/O performance is configured for your instance, only the base performance is displayed here.
If additional I/O performance is configured for your instance, you can view the base performance, additional performance, and total performance here.
