https://www.tencentcloud.com/document/product/377/3578

This section introduces the basic concepts, working principles, and benefits of AS, helping you quickly understand and efficiently use AS.

AS Overview

https://www.tencentcloud.com/document/product/377/3154

It is suitable for scenarios such as elastic scaling of Web services, handling of traffic bursts and CC attacks, request-based/periodic workloads, and high-availability architectures.

https://www.tencentcloud.com/document/product/377/3097

AS is free of charge. You only pay for the cloud resources associated with the scaling group, such as CVMs.

https://www.tencentcloud.com/document/product/377/8627

This section introduces the related concepts, benefits, and scenarios of Tencent Cloud AS, helping you get familiar with the service.

Learning About AS

A launch configuration is a template for creating CVMs. You need to specify parameters such as the image, instance type, and data disks in advance.

https://www.tencentcloud.com/document/product/377/8544

This section introduces scaling groups as collections of CVM instances that follow the same rules and can scale elastically, including attribute configurations such as maximum/minimum instance counts and associated CLBs.

https://www.tencentcloud.com/document/product/377/8551

AS supports dynamically scaling the number of instances in a scaling group based on monitored metrics. You need to define an alarm-triggered policy, which specifies the monitored metric conditions that trigger scaling and how scaling is performed based on demand changes.

https://www.tencentcloud.com/document/product/377/3803

Schedule one-time or recurring scaling actions for predictable workload
changes, automatically scaling the number of CVM instances by configuring the effective time and the minimum, maximum, and desired number of instances in the scaling group.

https://www.tencentcloud.com/document/product/377/3591

In addition to automatic scaling based on business load, AS also allows you to add existing CVM instances to a scaling group or modify the desired number of instances for one-click scale-out, achieving rapid manual scaling.

https://www.tencentcloud.com/document/product/377/8564

Execute custom operations during the waiting phase of scale-out or scale-in activities, such as software initialization and data backup, to achieve fine-grained control.

https://www.tencentcloud.com/document/product/377/61773

After creating a scaling task, you can view the scaling activity history executed by the scaling group based on the scaling policy on the scaling group details page.

https://www.tencentcloud.com/document/product/377/3804

Learn how to create launch configurations and scaling groups, configure scaling policies, and manage lifecycle hooks.

User Guide

You can learn about the APIs used for operating and managing core AS resources.

https://www.tencentcloud.com/document/product/377/30984

API Explorer is an automated online debugging tool designed for interactive interface operations. You can quickly test APIs and verify the availability and response results of APIs.

Using API Explorer

Tencent Cloud Command Line Interface (TCCLI) is a unified tool for managing Tencent Cloud resources, which needs to be installed on local computers and is suitable for deep integration and automation scripts.

Using TCCLI

https://www.tencentcloud.com/document/product/1080/38762

CloudShell is a built-in online command line tool in the Tencent Cloud console, suitable for quickly running commands and performing temporary operations.

Using CloudShell

https://www.tencentcloud.com/document/product/1080/68246

AS provides developers with tools such as APIs and SDKs, helping them efficiently accomplish integration, development, and Ops.

Developer Guide

Auto Scaling(AS) automatically adjusts CVM compute resources based on your business needs and policies, ensuring you have the right number of CVM instances to handle your application load while balancing performance and reducing costs.

Auto Scaling

A scaling group contains a collection of CVM instances that follow the same policies and have a shared purpose. Scaling groups define attributes such as the maximum and minimum numbers of CVM instances in the group and their associated CLB instances.
