Renewal Instructions
Last updated: 2025-09-19 12:13:25
If a monthly subscribed instance is not renewed in advance or auto-renewal fails due to insufficient account balance before expiration, the instance will enter an isolated state. You need to complete renewal in time to restore it to normal status. If renewal is not completed during the isolation period, the system will automatically release the instance resource after completion. All data will be cleared and cannot be restored.
Note:
Hourly billing instances do not need renewal. Just ensure sufficient available account balance. For specific steps on account recharge, refer to online recharge.

Renewal Instructions

Renewal supports two methods: manual renewal and automatic renewal, as follows:
Manual renewal: For annual and monthly subscription instances, you can manually renew them at any time during the purchase period until complete termination to extend the instance's usage time.
Automatic renewal: After enabling automatic renewal for annual and monthly subscription instances, if the account balance is sufficient, the instance will automatically renew on the expiration date.
Note:
For detailed status after the instance expires, refer to overdue explanation.

Manual Renewal

Renew Manually in the CKafka Console

1. Log in to the CKafka console.
2. Select Instance List in the left sidebar, then click Renew in the operation bar of the target instance after selecting a region.
3. Select the renewal duration in the pop-up. At this point, you can also choose to enable automatic renewal for the instance.
4. Click Confirm, then complete payment on the order payment page to finish renewal.

Manual Renewal in Expense Center

1. Log in to the CKafka console.
2. At the top right corner of the page, hover over Expense, then click Renewal Management in the dropdown list to enter the Billing Center.
3. On the renewal management page, search for and select Message Service CKafka, choose the expiration time range, and manually renew instances under the Manual Renewal tab.
Single renewal: Click Renew in the operation bar of the target instance.
Batch renewal: Select the instances to renew in batches, then click Batch Renewal in the upper left corner.
4. Select the renewal duration in the pop-up, click Confirm, then complete payment on the order payment page to finish renewal.

Automatic Renewal

Automatic renewal can reduce management costs of manual renewal and avoid instances being automatically deleted due to forgetting to renew manually.

Enabling Auto-Renewal When Purchasing Instances

You can enable auto-renewal on the CKafka instance purchase page. For specific steps to purchase an instance, refer to Create Instance.
When switching an hourly billing instance to a monthly subscription, you can also choose to enable auto-renewal. For specific steps to switch the billing mode, refer to Switch from Hourly Billing to Monthly Subscription.

Enable Auto-Renewal in Expense Center

If automatic renewal is not enabled when purchasing an instance, you can choose to enable automatic renewal for the instance when it is not expired and the status is "running". Specific steps:
1. Log in to the CKafka console.
2. At the top right corner of the page, hover over Expense, then click Renewal Management in the dropdown list to enter the Billing Center.
3. On the renewal management page, search for and select Message Service CKafka, choose the expiration time range, and enable automatic renewal for instances under the Manual Renewal tab.
Single enable: Click Set as Automatic Renewal in the operation bar of the target instance.
Batch start: Select the instances to renew in batches, then click Set as Automatic Renewal in the upper left corner.
4. Check I have read and agree to "Auto-renewal Rules" in the pop-up window, then click OK to complete enabling auto-renewal.

Set Unified Expiry Date

If you have multiple CKafka instances with different expiration dates, you can set them uniformly to one date, making it easy for daily management and renewal.
For specific operations, refer to Set Unified Expiry Date.
