    Introduction

    This document describes how to associate a policy with a user/user group and how to associate a user/user group with a policy. After the association, the user/user group will be granted with the permissions in the policy.

    Prerequisites

    Log in to the CAM Console.

    Associating a policy with user/user group

    Associating a preset policy with a user

    1. In the CAM Console, click Policies on the left sidebar to enter the policy management page.
    2. On the policy management page, click All Policies > Preset Policies in the top-left corner to filter the preset policies as shown below:
    3. Find the preset policy you want to associate and click Associate in the "Operation" column on the right as shown below:
    4. In the pop-up window, click Switch to User Group > User as shown below:
    5. Check the user you want to associate and click OK to complete the association.

    Associating a preset policy with a user group

    1. In the CAM Console, click Policies on the left sidebar to enter the policy management page.
    2. On the policy management page, click All Policies > Preset Policies in the top-left corner to filter the preset policies as shown below:
    3. Find the preset policy you want to associate and click Associate in the "Operation" column on the right as shown below:
    4. In the pop-up window, click Switch to User Group > User Group as shown below:
    5. Check the user group you want to associate and click OK to complete the association.

    Associating a custom policy with a user

    1. In the CAM Console, click Policies on the left sidebar to enter the policy management page.
    2. On the policy page, click All Policies > Custom Policies in the top-left corner to filter custom policies as shown below:
    3. Find the custom policy you want to associate and click Associate in the "Operation" column on the right as shown below:
    4. In the pop-up window, click Switch to User Group > User as shown below:
    5. Check the user you want to associate and click OK to complete the association.

    1. In the CAM Console, click Policies on the left sidebar to enter the policy management page.
    2. On the policy page, click All Policies > Custom Policies in the top-left corner to filter custom policies as shown below:
    3. Find the custom policy you want to associate and click Associate in the "Operation" column on the right as shown below:
    4. In the pop-up window, click Switch to User Group > User Group as shown below:
    5. Check the user group you want to associate and click OK to complete the association.

    Associating a user with a preset policy

    1. In the CAM Console, click User > User List on the left sidebar to enter the User List page.
    2. On the user list page, find the user you want to authorize and click Authorize in the "Operation" column on the right as shown below:
    3. In the pop-up window, click Policy Type > Preset Policy to filter preset policies as shown below:
    4. Check the preset policy you want to associate and click OK to complete the association.

    Associating a user with a custom policy

    1. In the CAM Console, click User > User List on the left sidebar to enter the User List page.
    2. On the user list page, find the user you want to authorize and click Authorize in the "Operation" column on the right as shown below:
    3. In the pop-up window, click Policy Type > Custom Policy to filter custom policies as shown below:
    4. Check the custom policy you want to associate and click OK to complete the association.

    Associating a user group with a preset policy

    1. In the CAM Console, click User Group on the left sidebar to enter the user group management page.
    2. Find the user group you want to authorize and click the user group name to enter the user group details page.
    3. On the user group details page, click the Permissions tab.
    4. Click Associate Policies
    5. In the pop-up window, click Policy Type > Preset Policy to filter preset policies as shown below:
    6. Check the preset policy you want to associate and click OK to complete the association.

    Associating a user group with a custom policy

    1. In the CAM Console, click User Group on the left sidebar to enter the user group management page.
    2. Find the user group you want to authorize and click the user group name to enter the user group details page.
    3. On the user group details page, click the Permissions tab.
    4. Click Associate Policies
    5. In the pop-up window, click Policy Type > Custom Policy to filter custom policies as shown below:
    6. Check the custom policy you want to associate and click OK to complete the association.
