Log Topic Actions

    This topic focuses on how to add, delete or update a log topic in the CLS console.

    Adding Log Topic

    1. Log in to the CLS Console, and click Logset in the left sidebar.
    2. Locate the existing logset you want, and click View under Operation on the right to enter the logset details page.
    3. Click Add Log Topic, and in the pop-up window, configure the following:
      • Log Topic Name: nginx, for example.
      • Topic Partitions: for the information on topic partitions, see Topic Partition. The default value is 1.
    4. Click OK to add a log topic.
    5. Once the log topic is added successfully, you will be directed to the Logset Management page.

    Deleting a Log Topic

    1. Go to the Logset Management page, and click on a logset name.
    2. Locate the log topic you want to delete, and click Delete under Operation on the right.

      Please note that you cannot recover the topic configuration and log data once a log topic is deleted.

    3. In the pop-up window, click OK to delete the log topic.

    Updating a Log Topic Name

    1. Go to the Logset Management page, and click on a logset name.
    2. Locate the log topic you want to delete, and click Manage under Operation on the right.
    3. In the log topic management page, select the Basic Info tab, and click Edit on the top right.
      1. Change the log topic name, and click Save to update the log topic information.
