Overview

Tencent Cloud Edge Zone is a local extension of Tencent Cloud. You can run latency-sensitive applications closer to the user's geographical location, eliminating latency issues. Tencent Cloud Edge Zone offers multiple product forms including edge virtual machines and edge physical machines.

You can use the APIs introduced in this documentation and refer to the examples to perform related operations on edge physical machines, such as create, terminate, apply for IP, and restart. For all supported operations, see API overview.

Glossary

Common terminology for edge physical machine API interface see the table below:

Term Description
Instance Refers to an edge physical machine instance
Zone Indicates the edge zone of the edge physical machine
PublicNetworkInstance refers to a public network instance. There is one public network instance in an edge zone.
PrivateNetworkInstance refers to a private network instance. There is one private network instance in an edge zone.

API Quick Start

You can use the API Explorer tool to call APIs online.
This document uses creating one edge physical machine as an example. The steps for API calls via the API Explorer Tool are as follows:

  1. Go to the API Explorer tool page. Please locate the Edge Zone Directory.
  2. Call CreatePrivateNetworkInstance, confirm the private network segment, and create a private network instance.
  3. Call CreatePublicNetworkInstance, confirm the route publishing mode, and create a public network instance.
  4. Call ApplyPublicIps to apply for a public IP under the public network instance.
  5. Call CreateInstances, clarify the availability zone, machine specification, mirror and other required information, then create edge physical machine.
