TDSQL-C for MySQL supports the multi-engine feature. The TXSQL engine is 100% compatible with native MySQL. You can migrate your MySQL database to TDSQL-C for MySQL without modifying any application code or configuration. The TXSQL engine is the default engine, and both read-write instances and read-only instances support using it. The LibraDB engine is also compatible with and supports most MySQL syntax. It serves users through the form of read-only instances.
The TXSQL engine kernel also provides multiple MySQL Enterprise Edition features, such as database audit, thread pool, encryption functions, and backup and recovery. The TXSQL engine not only extensively optimizes the InnoDB storage engine and query optimization, but also enhances database usability and maintainability. While providing all MySQL features to users, it also offers enterprise-grade advanced features such as disaster recovery, recovery, monitoring, performance optimization, read/write splitting, and database audit.
The other engine, LibraDB, is a self-developed engine designed for real-time analysis scenarios. The LibraDB engine supports capabilities such as massive parallel processing, vectorized execution engine, and columnar storage. It can provide high-performance complex data analysis and query. By operating as a read-only instance, it supports real-time data queries, eliminating the need to manage complex ETL components or endure excessive data latency. As a pluggable engine, the LibraDB engine can be created in TDSQL-C for MySQL 5.7 and 8.0 clusters (with the instance mode of provisioned resources).
How to Query the Database Kernel Version (TXSQL)
1. The tab view is located after Database Version on the Cluster Management page.
2. The list view is located after Configuration Info > Database Version on the cluster details page.
How to Query the Database Kernel Version (LibraDB)
1. In the tab view, navigate to the Cluster Management page. Under Instance Information, locate the analysis engine instance and click Details. You can then query the information under Basic Info.
2. In the list view, navigate to the Cluster Management page. Select the Instance List tab, then choose Read-Only Analysis Engine. In the list, click the target Instance ID to go to the instance details page. You can then query the information under Basic Information.
