TDSQL-C for MySQL billable items include compute nodes, storage space, and value-added services (such as backup space and database audit). This document describes the pricing information for TDSQL-C for MySQL.

Billing Overview

Note:
Value-added services are billed separately and are independent of compute node and storage space billing. For details, see Value-added Service Pricing.
Total yearly/monthly subscription cost = Compute node cost + Storage space cost = (Compute node price × Number of compute nodes) + (Storage space price × Storage space)
Total pay-as-you-go cost = Compute node cost + Storage space cost = (Compute node price × Number of compute nodes) + (Storage space price × Storage space)
Total Serverless cost = Compute node cost + Storage space cost = (Serverless compute price × CCU amount) + (Storage space price × Storage space)
TDSQL-C for MySQL uses a compute-storage separated architecture. A single cluster supports the purchase of multiple compute nodes. Each compute node is billed separately. Multiple compute nodes within the same cluster share a single storage space, requiring payment for only one storage space.
Compute node cost: It is billed according to the billing mode based on the specifications you purchase. Supported billing modes include yearly/monthly subscription, pay-as-you-go, and Serverless.
Storage space cost: It is billed according to the billing mode you select. Primary storage supports yearly/monthly subscription (which means pre-purchasing storage space) and pay-as-you-go (billed hourly, with the fee settled based on the actual storage space used per minute within that time period).
Pay-as-you-go storage space billing and settlement example: Assume the storage space is billed at a rate of 1 USD/GB per minute. In the first minute, 1 GB of storage is used, resulting in a cost of USD 1. From the second to the 60th minute, an additional 2 GB of storage is used each minute. This indicates that a cost of USD 2 is incurred per minute for the additional usage. The actual settlement amount for one hour is calculated as follows: 1 + (2 x 59) = USD 119.
Note:
Only after you select the yearly/monthly subscription billing mode for TDSQL-C for MySQL can the pre-purchased storage space yearly/monthly subscription billing mode be selected for storage.

Compute Node Pricing

You can find the compute node specifications and prices for general and exclusive instances in the corresponding tables below. Some specifications in the tables may be sold out. For actual purchases, refer to the purchase page.

Note:
CCU (TDSQL-C Compute Unit) is the compute billing unit for Serverless. One CCU is approximately equivalent to the compute resources of 1 CPU and 2 GB of memory. The number of CCUs used in each billing cycle is calculated as follows: the maximum value between the number of CPU cores used by the database and half of the memory size.
You can refer to Service Computing Resource Configuration to select the corresponding CCU maximum and minimum values, thereby understanding the storage space upper limit for each computing resource configuration.

Read-Only Analysis Engine Pricing Overview

The billing formula for the TDSQL-C for MySQL read-only analysis engine is as follows:
When a single node is selected: Total cost of the read-only analysis engine = Single-node computing resource cost + Storage unit price x Purchased storage space size
When multiple nodes are selected: Total cost of the read-only analysis engine = Total computing resource cost for multiple nodes (cost corresponding to the total computing resources) + Total storage space across all nodes x Storage unit price
Note:
The read-only analysis engine does not use the shared storage of TDSQL-C for MySQL. Therefore, you need to purchase storage space separately.
When you select multiple nodes, you can choose to purchase 2 or 3 nodes.

Compute Node Pricing of Read-Only Analysis Engine

When creating a read-only analysis engine instance, you can select the number of nodes. The single-node mode defaults to 1 node, while the multi-node mode allows you to choose 2 or 3 nodes. The computing resource unit price differs between the single-node and multi-node modes. You can refer to the following table for details.

The compute node cost for the month = USD 13.23529412/month × 1 month × 1 = USD 13.23529412 The storage space cost for the month = USD 0.20541177/GB/month × 10 GB = USD 2.0541177 The total cost for the month = Compute node cost + Storage space cost = USD 13.23529412 + USD 2.0541177 = USD 15.28941182
