This document primarily introduces the billing components, billing methods, pricing, and pricing examples for EdgeOne (Tencent Cloud EdgeOne, hereinafter referred to as EdgeOne).
Billing Composition
EdgeOne billing consists of two parts: basic service fees and value-added service fees, as shown in the following figure:

The deduction and billing times within a billing cycle are described as follows:
|
Prepaid | Month | Fees are deducted and billed upon subscription, with the validity period from the T day to the T day of the following month. |
Postpaid | Hour | Usage generated in the first hour is billed and invoiced within the subsequent 2 - 4 hours. |
| Month | The total usage generated from 00:00:00 on the 1st to 23:59:59 on the 31st of the current month is billed and invoiced on the 1st of the following month. |
Note
1. Prepaid Monthly Subscription: If the service start date does not have a corresponding date in the next calendar month, a 31-day period is used as the billing cycle. For example, if the service starts on March 31, and April does not have a 31st, 31 days are directly added to the service start date to determine the plan expiration time. Therefore, the plan expires on May 1.
2. Postpaid Monthly Billing: If you subscribe to the Enterprise Edition and then stop the service, the plan fee and the independent Anti-DDoS instance fee will still be deducted and billed on the 1st of the following month, prorated based on the usage duration in the month when the service was stopped. Other fees are deducted and billed based on actual usage. For example, if a user subscribes to the Enterprise Edition plan at 00:00 on March 1 and stops the service at 23:59 on March 10, with a total traffic of 10 TB generated during this period, the billing amount on April 1 will be (10/31) * Enterprise Edition plan fee + 10 TB traffic fee.

Pricing Examples
Pricing Example 1: Static Website
In this example, you provide a static website for a small business.
Assume that you generate 50 GB of traffic monthly from EdgeOne nodes to clients, and that 3,000,000 HTTPS requests are made from clients to EdgeOne nodes, with all your end users located within the Chinese mainland.
We recommend subscribing to the EdgeOne Personal plan, which includes 50 GB of SCDN traffic and 3,000,000 HTTP/HTTPS SCDN requests.
|
EdgeOne Personal Plan | 1 set | 1 * 4.2 USD/plan/month = 4.2 USD | 4.2 USD |
L7 (Application Layer) traffic | 50 GB | 50 * 0.0443 USD/GB = 2.215 USD | 0 USD (No overage fee incurred because the plan includes 50 GB.) |
HTTP/HTTPS request | 3 million | 300 * 0.0071 USD/10k requests = 2.13 USD | 0 USD (No overage fee incurred because the plan includes 3 million requests.) |
Total | - | - | 4.2 USD
1.4 USD (Product Experience Price) |
Pricing Example 2: Dynamic E-commerce Application
You can enable Smart Acceleration for dynamic domain names to minimize network latency, reduce connection errors, request failures, and other issues. You can also configure custom Web Protection rules and rate limiting rules based on your business requirements. Assume that you generate 200 GB of traffic monthly from EdgeOne nodes to clients, and that 300 GB of data is uploaded by end users to EdgeOne edge nodes. During this period, a total of 20 million HTTPS requests are generated, with all your end users located within the Chinese mainland. Additionally, you have configured 5 custom rule-based precise matching policies and 3 rate limiting rules in the Web Protection module.
We recommend subscribing to the EdgeOne Basic plan, which includes 500 GB of SCDN traffic and 20 million HTTP/HTTPS SCDN requests, and supports the configuration of 5 custom rule-based precise matching policies and 3 rate limiting rules.
|
EdgeOne Basic Plan | 1 set | 1 * 57 USD/plan/month = 57 USD | 57 USD |
L7 (Application Layer) traffic | 500 GB | 500 * 0.0443 USD/GB = 22.15 USD (Both upstream and downstream traffic will be counted after intelligent acceleration is enabled.) | 0 USD (No overage fee incurred because the plan includes 500 GB.) |
HTTP/HTTPS request | 20 million | 2000 * 0.0071 USD/10k requests = 14.2 USD | 0 USD (No overage fee incurred because the plan includes 20 million requests.) |
Smart acceleration request | 20 million | 20 * 100 VAU/10k requests * 0.0143 USD/VAU = 28.6 USD | 28.6 USD |
Web protection custom rule exact-match policy | 5 | 5 * 100 VAU/unit * 0.0143 USD/VAU = 7.15 USD | 0 USD (No overage fee incurred because the plan includes 5 rules.) |
Web protection rate limiting rule | 3 | 3 * 100 VAU/unit * 0.0143 USD/VAU = 4.29 USD | 0 USD (No overage fee incurred because the plan includes 3 rules.) |
Total | - | - | 85.6 USD |
Pricing Example 3: Enabling Bot Management for Your Core Business Site
You can enable Bot Management for your core domain names to identify and block malicious bots, such as crawlers, traffic flooding, and brute-force attacks, or to optimize friendly bot access and support SEO. Assume that you generate 2 TB of traffic monthly from EdgeOne nodes to clients, and that 1 TB of data is uploaded by end users to EdgeOne edge nodes. During this period, a total of 50 million HTTPS requests are generated, with all your end users located within the Chinese mainland. Additionally, you have configured 20 custom rule-based precise matching policies and 5 rate limiting rules in the Web Protection module. The Smart Acceleration feature and Bot Management are enabled for all domains. We recommend subscribing to the EdgeOne Standard plan, which includes 3 TB of SCDN traffic and 50 million HTTP/HTTPS SCDN requests, and supports the configuration of 20 custom rule-based precise matching policies and 5 rate limiting rules.

HTTP/HTTPS request | 50 million | 5000 * 0.0071 USD/10k requests = 35.5 USD | 0 USD (No overage fee incurred because the plan includes 50 million requests.) |
Smart acceleration request | 50 million | 50 * 100 VAU/10k requests * 0.0143 USD/VAU = 71.5 USD | 71.5 USD |
