Tencent Cloud account identity verification is categorized into individual identity verification and enterprise identity verification. Before account identity verification is performed, we recommend that you first understand the Tencent Cloud Account Limits.

Why Identity Verification Is Required

If you need to purchase or use cloud services in the Chinese mainland (excluding Hong Kong (China), Macao (China), and Taiwan (China)), apply to become a Tencent Cloud partner, or use the online self-service invoice feature, you must complete identity verification for your Tencent Cloud account.

Types and Differences of Identity Verification

Warning:
Identity verification directly determines the ownership of accounts and resources. If an enterprise user completes identity verification using personal information, subsequent personnel changes or account disputes may affect the enterprise's business and even cause financial losses. Before performing identity verification, confirm whether the resources you purchase and use on Tencent Cloud are for personal or enterprise purposes.

How to Complete Identity Verification

Individual identity verification: You can use an ID card/passport, driver's license, or work permit to complete identity verification. For specific operations, see Individual Identity Verification.
Enterprise identity verification: You can use a valid business registration document from the jurisdiction where the account is registered to complete identity verification. For specific operations, see Enterprise Identity Verification.

Notes

Identity verification requires identity documents that match the jurisdiction where your account is registered. The account registration location, once selected during account registration, cannot be changed. If you only have personal/enterprise documents from the Chinese mainland, go to Tencent Cloud China to register and use the service.
