Introduction to Log Components

The log component is a component deployed by Tencent Cloud CLS on each standard node in the user cluster when the user enables the log service in TKE. It is used to collect business logs generated by TKE and write them to the consumption endpoint on Tencent Cloud. Currently, it supports writing to CLS and Kafka.
The components related to CLS are as follows:
Term
Resource Type
Description
tke-log-agent
DaemonSet
Each log-agent Pod contains a controller container and a loglistener sidecar container, responsible for collecting logs generated by all containers on the node.
cls-provisioner
Deployment
One instance per cluster, responsible for converting CRD configurations into collection configurations that loglistener can understand and communicating with CLS.
