Scenarios

Data Accelerator Goose FileSystem (GooseFS) is a multi-protocol, high-performance, high-throughput data acceleration service launched by Tencent Cloud. GooseFS provides a unified namespace and access protocols for upper-layer computing applications, making it easier for users to manage and transfer data across different storage systems. Leveraging the massive storage capacity and low cost of COS as the underlying data storage, GooseFS not only accelerates storage access performance for workloads such as massive data analytics, machine learning, and AI, but also helps businesses implement automatic tiering of hot and cold data, balancing performance and cost in their architectures.
With the GooseFS-CSI extension component, you can quickly use GooseFS in your container cluster.

Limits

Supports clusters running Kubernetes 1.14 or later.
Supports the regions where GooseFS is available.
To use GooseFS in TKE, you need to install this add-on in your cluster, which will occupy some system resources.

goosefs-csi Permissions

Permission Description

The permissions of this component are the minimum permission dependencies required for the current feature implementation.
You need to mount the relevant directories under /var/lib/kubelet on the host to the container to complete volume mount/umount operations, so you need to enable privileged containers.
