Scenarios

When the business requirements for yearly/monthly subscription instances change and long-term resource commitment is no longer needed, it is recommended to convert them to pay-as-you-go billing mode. This operation enhances resource usage flexibility and avoids additional costs caused by idle resources.
Flexible Resource Release: After you switch to pay-as-you-go billing, instances are no longer bound by fixed expiration dates. You can release instances anytime based on business needs without waiting for expiration or going through the refund process.
Pay-as-You-Go: After conversion, billing is based on actual usage duration (accurate to the second), suitable for scenarios such as short-term use, testing and validation, or uncertain business cycles, to avoid paying for unused time.

Switching Rules

Rules
Description
Billing Rules
Refund Settlement: When switching from yearly/monthly subscription to pay-as-you-go, the system recalculates fees based on the actual usage duration and refunds the remaining balance to your Tencent Cloud account. Full months of usage are charged at the yearly/monthly subscription rate, while any partial month is billed by the second at the pay-as-you-go unit price. The remaining value is refunded after deduction. For details, see Refund Policy (Yearly/Monthly Subscription).
Pay-as-You-Go Settlement: After conversion, the instance will be billed in pay-as-you-go mode. The system will automatically deduct fees for the previous billing cycle from your account balance every full hour (Beijing time). Billing is accurate to the second, with partial minutes calculated based on actual seconds used. For billing rates, see Product Pricing.
Auto-Renewal
Yearly/monthly subscription instances with auto-renewal enabled will have this setting automatically deactivated after conversion to pay-as-you-go billing, with no need for manual cancellation.
Effective Time
After the conversion operation is completed, the new pay-as-you-go billing mode will take effect immediately.
Switching Back to Yearly/Monthly Subscription
After an instance is converted from yearly/monthly subscription to pay-as-you-go billing, it can be converted back to yearly/monthly subscription. For specific operations, see Pay-as-You-Go to Yearly/Monthly Subscription.
No Service Impact
During the conversion from yearly/monthly subscription to pay-as-you-go billing, business access will not be affected. You can proceed without concern.
