TencentDB for MongoDB offers multiple specification types to accommodate different business scenarios. This document describes the core features, feature differences, and applicable scenarios of each specification type.

Specification Type Overview

General I is the latest product type for TencentDB for MongoDB and is the default option for new instance purchases. This type supports both local disks and cloud disks as two storage media, providing richer mongod node specification options and more competitive pricing.
Note:
As of March 19, 2026, General I has become the default product type for newly purchased instances.
High IO 10-Gigabit type has been discontinued by default and is no longer available for new purchases. If you have specific business needs, submit a ticket to apply for the allowlist.
The product type, specifications, and billing of existing instances remain unchanged.
To use the cloud disk edition, submit a ticket to apply.
