Relying on Tencent Cloud's CDN nodes around the globe and using proprietary intelligent global scheduling and real-time quality monitoring systems, Tencent Cloud Global Content Delivery (GCD) accurately routes end user requests from outside Mainland China to provide acceleration and integrated solutions for various businesses such as static services, downloads and audiovisual services. GCD effectively reduces access latency and improves service availability, helping solve issues with cross-border access and support the global presence of your businesses.
Relying on Tencent Cloud's over 100 CDN nodes with 20+ Tbps of combined bandwidth deployed in more than 50 countries and regions, GCD effectively solves issues with cross-border access, reduces access latency of end users outside Mainland China and ultimately improves service availability.
Tencent Cloud's proprietary global scheduling system precisely routes end user requests to the optimal nodes for a better user access experience based on the end user's region and data from Tencent Cloud's real-time global quality monitoring system.
GCD supports full-linkage HTTPS encrypted transfer which ensures data security and prevents content hijacking. In addition, it supports self-service configuration of access control policies based on referer and client IP access control policies that can limit IP access frequency and bandwidth to effectively resist content hotlinking and CC attacks.
For different business needs, GCD supports the acceleration of static content, downloads and audio/video on demand, enabling high service reliability and availability in different business scenarios and improving the global presence of your businesses.
Tencent Cloud's GCD network can seamlessly access its CDN networks within Mainland China. The configurations can be synced among these networks in one click with no repetitive operations required. A wide variety of OPS methods are provided for convenient self-service management and global development of your businesses.
GCD supports self-service configuration of access control policies, including blacklists/whitelists for referer, IP, UA (in trial) and IP access frequency limits, which help effectively resist hotlinking, malicious users and CC attacks.
The expiration policy of the origin server file cache can be customized based on actual business conditions to improve the cache hit rate and reduce origin-pull bandwidth consumption. Further, GCD supports multi-level cache route configuration, so the intermediate server can be activated as needed to converge origin-pull and relieve pressure on the source server.
The origin server can be configured with multiple IPs for polling and origin-pull or with other domain names as the origin server. Master-slave origin servers can be configured for disaster recovery and improved success rate of origin-pull. By default, GCD performs multipart origin-pull and does not follow 302 redirects and supports self-service adjustments based on origin server conditions.
Free certificates can be applied for and certificates from Symantec and GeoTrust can be purchased in Tencent Cloud. After successful application or purchase, the certificates can be deployed to CDN in one click for HTTPS access. Existing certificates can be uploaded to the acceleration node to support forced HTTPS redirects (301/302 modes available), forced HTTP origin-pull and protocol follows and HTTPS origin-pull.
Custom HTTP response/request headers can be added to meet cross-domain and other personalization requirements.
Intelligent cross-node routing and dedicated route optimization improve the acceleration effect.
Network-wide access logs can be downloaded to help analyze user behaviors.
GCD provides acceleration and integrated solutions for various businesses such as static services, downloads and audiovisual services. Tencent's proprietary GSLB global scheduling system precisely routes user requests to the optimal global acceleration nodes; and GCD networks adopt two-level architecture of edge servers and regional centers to further enhance the acceleration effect through intelligent cross-node routing and dedicated route optimization.
Global Content Delivery (GCD) offers two pay-as-you-go billing plans: bill-by-bandwidth and bill-by-traffic. Both are based on monthly tiered usage, and the current calendar month total usage will be billed on the 1st day of the following month. Choose the plan that best fits your business needs. View more.
