Lighthouse is an easy-to-use and manage Cloud Virtual Machine suitable for lightweight business loads. It helps SMEs and developers quickly set up in the cloud for various applications such as websites, blogs, e-commerce, and forums, as well as development and testing environments. It provides a one-stop service for application deployment, configuration, and management, significantly improving the experience of building applications. It is the best way to get started with Tencent Cloud.
You can call the API to perform operations on Lighthouse, such as CreateInstances.
For all APIs supported by Lighthouse (Lightweight Application Server), please see the API overview.
Please ensure you fully understand the Lighthouse overview before using these APIs.
Common terminology for Lighthouse API interface, see the table below:
| Term | Description |
|---|---|
| Region | Region refers to the geographical location of a physical data center. |
| Zone | An Availability Zone (AZ) is a physical data center with independent power and network within the same region of Tencent Cloud. Its goal is to ensure isolation of failures within availability zones (excluding major disasters or extensive power outages), preventing fault propagation and maintaining continuous online services for the user's business. By launching instances in independent availability zones, users can protect applications from the impact of single-location failures. |
| Instance | An Instance refers to one Lighthouse, used to deliver your purchased cloud resources. |
| Bundle | The instance package (Bundle) consists of different combinations of CPU, memory, CBS, bandwidth, and network traffic package. When creating a Tencent Cloud Lighthouse, the user-specified instance package determines the configuration of instance CPU, memory, CBS, bandwidth, and network traffic package. |
| Blueprint | Blueprint is a pre-made template for lighthouse startup and operation, including a preset operating system and pre-installed software. Normally, you can think of a Blueprint as the installation disk for a lighthouse. You can create one or multiple lighthouse instances through the mirror. |
| Disk | Cloud Block Storage (CBS) is a distributed persistent block storage device provided by Lighthouse, used for the instance's system disk or expandable data disk usage. |
