Tencent Cloud Load Balancer (CLB) distributes requests from clients to multiple real servers associated with the CLB in the same region as specified by setting a virtual IP address (VIP).

CLB virtualizes multiple servers bound to it to build an available service pool, checks their health, and automatically isolates unhealthy servers from healthy ones, thereby resolving single points of failure issues and improving the overall service capabilities of the applications. CLB strictly isolates the traffic of each tenant and provides active protection against DDoS attacks. Public network CLB supports Anti-DDoS Basic by default.

Tencent Cloud CLB is a solution for multiple servers to serve at the same time, and should be used together with real servers.

Note:

  • All CLB APIs described here have been upgraded to the latest API 3.0. All new CLB-related features will also be added in this section. It is strongly recommended to use the latest API 3.0.
  • The features of old APIs remain available and may be not maintained in the future. If you still need to use old APIs, see CLB APIs (Old Version) Introduction.

Overview

Tencent Cloud Observability Platform (TCOP) offers three-dimensional cloud product data monitoring, intelligent data analysis, real-time fault alarm and personalized data report configuration. It enables real-time, precise control of your business and each cloud product's health status.

  • The Tencent Cloud Observability Platform (TCOP) APIs introduced in this section comply with the OpenAPI 3.0 specification.
  • You can call APIs to operate Tencent Cloud observability platform, such as getMonitorData, query alert history or obtain Prometheus integration metrics.
  • For information on all APIs supported by Tencent Cloud Observability Platform (TCOP), see API Overview.

Glossary

For common terms of the Tencent Cloud Observability Platform API interface, see the table below:

Term Description
Namespace A namespace is a container for metrics. Metrics in different namespaces are independent, so metrics from different applications will not be grouped together into the same statistical information.
Metric Metrics are variables for monitoring, and data points represent the values of these variables over time. For example, Cloud Virtual Machine's CPU usage is a metric, and Cloud Database's space utilization rate is another.
Dimension A dimension is a name/value pair structure that identifies a monitored object for description of its characteristics.

Getting Started with APIs

You can use the API Explorer tool to call APIs online.

This document uses querying cloud product metrics monitoring data as an example. The steps for API calls via the API Explorer Tool are as follows:

  1. Go to the API Explorer tool page. For more API Explorer tool usage information, see Using API Explorer.
  2. Call the DescribeBaseMetrics API to query metric basic information related to cloud product information.
  3. Call the GetMonitorData API to query corresponding metric monitoring data based on metric basic information.
