Where can I check the delivery status of an email?

What delivery statuses are available?

Sending process: Request Processing (Request Success / Rejected) → Delivery Execution (Queued) → Delivery Result (Delivered / Bounced)
Tencent Cloud's responsibility: Request processing and delivery execution are handled by Tencent Cloud.
Request Success: The request passes validation and is sent immediately. The "Queued" status is used only in rate-limited scenarios. All requests that pass validation are billed.
Rejected: The request fails validation, and Tencent Cloud refuses to send. An interface error code is returned, and no charges are incurred.
Recipient Provider's responsibility: The delivery result is determined by the recipient provider's internal receiving rules (spam filtering, IP reputation, content scoring, etc.). Tencent Cloud has no control over this.
Delivered: The email has been successfully delivered to the recipient provider's server.
Bounced: The email was rejected by the recipient provider's server and an error code is returned. You can check the reason on the recipient provider's official website.
Note:
Possible reasons why the status is "Delivered" but the recipient did not receive the email:
Delayed distribution by the recipient provider (more common for new domains or domains with low reputation scores);
The email was classified into the spam folder or other categories.
In rare cases, recipient provider server anomalies.
Billing is based on the request processing result — "Request Success" is billed, "Rejected" is not.
All emails that pass Tencent Cloud's validation are billed, regardless of whether they are successfully delivered.

What does "Rejected" mean and how should I adjust my sending?

When the delivery status is "Rejected," it means the Tencent Cloud platform has refused to send the email. An interface error code will be returned, and no charges will incur. Common reasons are as follows:
No.

Description
Remarks
1
Mail Frequency Limit.
Rate limit triggered
Sending more than 10 emails to the same recipient mailbox within 1 hour triggers the rate limit. Continued sending within that hour will be blocked. Please try again later. This measure is to prevent abnormal business push. For details, refer to Sending Limits FAQ.
2
Recipient on the blacklist.
Invalid recipient address blocked (Blacklist)
The recipient address is invalid (does not exist, temporary address, etc.). If you confirm the address is valid, you can remove it via Console > Delivery Response > Invalid Address Block.
3
Rejected by Recipient.
Recipient rejection block (Rejection Blacklist)
The recipient has added the address to the rejection list and it will be blocked by the platform. See the list at Console > Delivery Response > Rejection Block. To continue sending, contact the recipient to: 1. Add the sender to the whitelist; 2. Send an email to tencent_ses@tencent.com to request removal.
4
Daily sending limit exceeded.
Daily sending quota exceeded
The sending volume has reached the maximum daily sending limit of the sending domain. For rules, see Reputation Tier Mechanism.
5
Receiver has Unsubscribed.
Recipient unsubscribed
The recipient has previously unsubscribed from emails sent by this sending domain. If confirmed to be a misoperation, you can remove it via Console > Delivery Response > Unsubscribe.
6
Recipient on the custom blacklist.
Recipient in custom blocklist (Custom Blacklist)
The recipient is in your custom blocklist. See the list at Console > Delivery Response > Custom Block.
7
Temporary blocked by ISP.
Temporary ISP block
Due to triggering the recipient provider's restrictions, the platform has paused sending to that provider for 10 minutes, after which it will be automatically lifted. Common reasons: the domain is judged as spam, content violations, or triggering frequency/recipient limits. You can retry sending after the block is lifted.

What does "Bounced" mean, what is the specific meaning of each bounce error code, and how should I adjust my sending?

The delivery result is determined by the recipient provider's internal receiving rules (such as spam filtering, IP reputation, content scoring, etc.). Tencent Cloud has no control over this. "Delivered" means the email has been successfully delivered to the recipient provider's server; "Bounced" means the email was rejected by the recipient provider and an error code is returned.
You can check the specific reasons and recommendations on the recipient provider's official website based on the bounce error code.
If you have any questions, submit a ticket and a specialist will answer them for you.
