When calls to the SDK interface to request COS services fail, the system throws a CosError, which inherits from Error.

SERVICE_ERROR
Server Exception
INVALID_ARGUMENT
Parameter validation failed, such as required parameters being null.
INVALID_CREDENTIALS
Key information validation failed, for example, key acquisition failed.
NETWORK
TASK
Task-related exception
USER_CANCELLED
User-initiated request cancellation
USER_PAUSED
User-initiated request pausing
DATA_FORMAT
Data format error, possibly due to server response data not conforming to entity definitions, and so on.
UNKNOWN
Unclassified exception, the business layer can treat it as a system Error.

Client Error

CosClientError occurs when the client fails to interact properly with the COS server. This includes scenarios such as the client being unable to connect to the server, failing to parse data returned by the server, or encountering IO exceptions when the client reads local files. It inherits from CosError.

Server Error

CosServiceError is thrown when the client interacts normally with the COS server but fails to operate COS resources. Examples include accessing a non-existent Bucket, deleting a non-existent file, lacking permission for an operation, or encountering server-side exceptions.

Use the Self-Service Diagnostic Tool

To address various error scenarios that may occur during requests, we provide you with the COS Self-diagnosis Tool to help quickly locate issues and debug error codes.

Procedure

1. RequestId (Request ID) returned by exception handling should be copied.
2. Click COS Self-diagnosis Tool to go to the self-diagnosis page.

3. In the RequestId input box at the top, enter the RequestId to be diagnosed and click Start Diagnosis. Please wait a few minutes to view the corresponding intelligent diagnosis results.
