Dear TRTC Instant Messaging (IM) user,
Starting July 1, 2026, Xiaomi will update its message template requirements and push restrictions. The Push service has been adapted to support these changes. To ensure continued delivery of private messages, please complete integration of the Xiaomi private message template by December 31, 2026. If integration is not completed by this date, private messages may fail to deliver. For more details, refer to the "Xiaomi Message Push Template New Regulations".
Detailed Description
1. New Message Push Restrictions
Under the latest Xiaomi push rules, message push quotas are managed based on the message type specified in the template. Messages are categorized as either "Private Messages" or "Public Messages." Public message delivery is subject to daily limits. Before integration, verify the classification of each message. For more information about message type restrictions, see the "Xiaomi Push Message Restriction Description".
2. Completing Xiaomi Push Template Integration
Note:
If you have previously applied for Xiaomi private message integration, promptly log in to the Xiaomi Push Operations Platformto update and complete template integration. If you have not integrated private messages before, we recommend planning your message classification first, then applying for channel and private message template integration in the Xiaomi Push Operations Platform. Once template configuration is complete, navigate to the Instant Messaging (IM) Console. Go to Push Service > Integration Settings > Vendor Configuration, select Android, click Xiaomi, create or edit your Xiaomi vendor certificate, and enter the ChannelID and TemplateID parameters accurately. Refer to the figure below for guidance:
FAQ
1. Will previous integrations using the old channel be affected?
Yes. If you previously integrated Xiaomi private messages without adapting to the new private message template, you must complete template integration and modification on the Xiaomi Push Operations Platform by December 31, 2026. If integration is not completed, private message delivery will be restricted, resulting in failures.
2. How do I determine if a message is private or public?
Xiaomi defines private messages as those that users expect to receive or must be notified about promptly—missing them may cause negative consequences (such as friend chats or transaction reminders). Public messages are those users do not expect and pay less attention to (such as news subscriptions or event notifications). For detailed classification guidance, see the "Xiaomi Message Classification New Regulations". Confirm the message type before integrating the private message template. If public messages are sent through the private message channel and detected, Xiaomi may impose penalties. 3. What are the new Xiaomi push limits for different message types?
Private messages are not subject to daily push limits. Public messages and default messages have daily caps: public messages are limited to 5–8 pushes per app per device per day; default messages are limited to 1 push per app per device per day. For detailed restriction rules, refer to the "Xiaomi Push Message Restriction Description". 4. Are there specific requirements for configuring private message templates?
1. The TemplateID entered in the TRTC Console is only used for SDK-initiated message pushes from the app. You must apply for the private message template on the Xiaomi side following the specified format; otherwise, vendor configuration may fail.
2. For server-initiated pushes, provide detailed template information in the interface parameters. For parameter fields, refer to the public parameters (OfflinePushInfo) documentation.
