[TencentDB for SQL Server] Optimization of Memory Monitoring Metrics for Cloud Disk Architecture Instances

Dear Tencent Cloud user,
To continuously improve the accuracy of monitoring data for TencentDB for SQL Server, Tencent Cloud will optimize and adjust the memory usage monitoring metrics for SQL Server instances with cloud disk architecture. The details are announced as follows:
Optimization Details
Tencent Cloud will optimize the memory collection metrics for TencentDB for SQL Server instances with cloud disk architecture as follows:
After optimization, the memory usage displayed on the monitoring page will be consistent with the actual values shown in Windows Task Manager.
After optimization, the memory usage of most instances will increase, with the increase varying depending on the instance load (more noticeable for low-load instances, smaller for high-load instances, ranging approximately from 10% to 30%).
Effective Time and Execution Method
Effective Time: Starting from 00:00:00 on September 15, 2026 (Beijing Time).
Execution Method: Tencent Cloud will uniformly optimize the memory monitoring collection metrics in the backend. No action is required on your part.
Impact Description
Memory Usage Fluctuation: After the optimization, the monitored memory usage of most instances will increase by approximately 10%-30% compared to the pre-optimization values. This is a normal change resulting from the metric correction and does not indicate a sudden surge in the instance's actual memory consumption.
Monitoring Data Display: The above adjustments only involve the collection and display methodology of monitoring metrics. They will not affect the normal business operations of the instance or the database service.
Alarm Rules: If you have configured custom alarm thresholds based on memory usage for your instances, we recommend that you re-evaluate and adjust the thresholds accordingly based on the new display methodology to prevent false alarms or missed alarms.
