Before reading this document, you should be familiar with the basic concepts of Cloud Virtual Desktop (CVD).
Prerequisites 
Before creating your first CVD instance, you need to complete the following tasks:
1. Register a Tencent Cloud account, and complete the identity verification.
2. Activate the CVD service.
Operation Steps 
1. Log in to the CVD purchase page and configure the following information as prompted on the page.
Configuration Item
Description
Billing Mode
Select a suitable billing mode. Yearly/monthly subscription and pay-as-you-go are supported.
Region
Select a suitable region. It is recommended to select the region closest to your actual business to improve the access experience.
CVD Instance Type
Only the dedicated desktop type is provided, where each user exclusively enjoys one CVD resource.
Network
Select a suitable Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) network/subnet. If you do not have a VPC network or the existing network does not meet your requirements, you can create a VPC network as required. If Internet access from the CVD instance is needed, you can configure a NAT gateway in the console.
Computing Resources
The computing resources of a CVD instance include different combinations of CPU and memory specifications. You can flexibly choose based on your business requirements.
Image
Public images and Tencent featured office images are provided for you to choose from. Tencent featured office images come pre-installed with essential office software such as WeCom, Tencent Meeting, and Tencent Docs.
Storage Resources - System Disk
Select a cloud disk as the system disk for the CVD instance to host the operating system resources. You can choose between Cloud SSD or Premium Disk. Select the disk size as needed. The size of the system disk must be larger than that of the image used for launch.
Storage Resources - Data Disk
Select a cloud disk as the data disk for the CVD instance (optional) to host user data resources. You can choose between Cloud SSD or Premium Disk. Select the disk size as needed.
Purchase Quantity
Select the number of CVD instances of this specification that you want to purchase in this order.
Subscription Duration
Select the usage duration of the CVD instance.
CVD Instance Name
Customize the instance name. If left blank, a unique instance name will be generated by default. Format: CVD model + Month and day + Three-digit random number + Image ID.
Auto-Renewal
For a yearly/monthly subscription, you can select "Renew the instance automatically on a monthly basis if the account balance is sufficient" to enable the auto-renewal feature for the CVD instance. After the instance is successfully created, you can modify the existing auto-renewal settings. For more information, see Auto-Renewal.
2. After you complete the preceding configurations, review the information and click Buy Now.
3. You are redirected to the Order Review page. Review the detailed information of your order. Proceed with the payment if the information is correct.
4. After payment is completed, click Go to Console to manage your CVD instances.
