Tencent Cloud LighthouseCOS (LHCOS) is a distributed storage service provided by Tencent Cloud Lighthouse based on COS. It is easy to use, stable, and supports massive storage. Users can store or view files on LHCOS anytime, anywhere via the internet.
The LHCOS service provides a convenient file operation and management console, enabling users to upload, download, and manage files in any format. Featuring low cost, high efficiency, and ease of use, it is suitable for various scenarios such as personal blogs, mini-program development, and classroom environment demonstrations.
Product Functions
LHCOS features extremely simple file upload, download, and management. Before you use LHCOS, it is necessary to have a preliminary understanding of several basic concepts:
Object: the smallest unit of storage resources. A file can be considered an object, and it can be of any format type, such as images, documents, and audio-video files.
Bucket: A bucket can be understood as a container for storing objects, and is a virtual partition for organizing data. A bucket can hold countless objects.
Region: Refers to the geographical locations where Tencent Cloud-managed data centers are distributed. Each bucket corresponds to one region, and data is stored in buckets within these regions.
Endpoint: The internet address for accessing objects. Users can upload or download objects via the endpoint.

LHCOS's minimum storage resource granularity is the file, and core capabilities for files include:
File upload: Files smaller than 512GB can be uploaded via the console.
File download: Files smaller than 512GB can be downloaded via the console.
File sharing: File links for external distribution can be generated via the console. It supports two modes: public distribution and authorized distribution. The default validity period for authorized distribution is 2 hours.
Note:
To upload/download larger files, you can use COS SDKs or tools to initiate file upload/download operations, which support up to 48.82TB (50,000GB).

LHCOS bucket-level operations are only supported on the console, including bucket creation, deletion, modifying bucket permissions, and other operations.
LHCOS supports both console operations and using COS SDKs or tools for file-level operations. Simply use authorized access keys to perform file operations.
LHCOS only requires two types of billing items: public network downstream traffic and storage capacity, with no file specification limitations such as minimum storage space or duration. Users can evaluate usage based on actual consumption.
