TDSQL Boundless supports multiple methods for connecting to database instances. You can select an appropriate connection method based on your business scenario.

Intranet connection (Recommended)
To connect to the cloud database via a private network address, use a CVM to connect directly to the private network address of the cloud database. This connection method utilizes a high-speed private network, resulting in low latency.
The CVM and the database must be under the same account and within the sameVPC (ensuring they are in the same region).
CCN Connection
The CVM and the database instance are in different VPCs (including same/different accounts and same/different regions).
Public Network Connection
TDSQL Boundless provides only a private network (VPC) access address by default to ensure secure and high-performance data transmission. If you need to connect to the database from a public network, it is recommended to use Tencent Cloud CLB as a transit bridge.

DMC Connection
DMC (Database Management Center) is a database management tool from Tencent Cloud. It provides integrated database management services, including table-level operations, real-time monitoring, instance session management, SQL window, and data management. You can use the DMC console to connect to TDSQL Boundless.

Preparations

Creating Account

1. Log in to the TDSQL Boundless console. In the instance list, click the Instance ID to go to the Instance Details page.
2. On the instance management page, select the Account Management page and click Create Account.
3. In the pop-up dialog box, enter the account name, password, and remarks. After confirming, click OK.
4. An account that is successfully created will have the following permissions:
SELECT,UPDATE,INSERT,ALTER,DELETE,CREATE,CREATE VIEW,SHOW DATABASES,INDEX,SHOW VIEW,PROCESS,DROP

Obtaining the Connection Address

1. Log in to the TDSQL Boundless console. In the Instance List, click the Instance ID.
2. On the Instance Details page, in the Network Information section, view and record the Private Network Address and Port.
