What Is an Elastic IP?
Elastic IP (EIP), or Elastic Public IP, is a static public IP address that can be independently purchased and held within a specific region. It can be bound to cloud resources such as CVM, NAT Gateway, ENI, and High Availability Virtual IP to provide public network access capabilities. Additionally, EIP can be decoupled from the lifecycle of cloud resources and operated independently.
The CDC Environment's Elastic IP Has the Following Characteristics
Billing policy: Elastic IP instances in CDC are not billed.
Elastic IPs in CDC do not provide default public IP addresses, but support binding to on-premises IDC private IP addresses. This operation can be performed in the CDC console.
Resources in CDC interconnect with the customer's on-premises IDC through the local gateway capability. Elastic EIPs bound to private IP addresses can be bound to CVMs, enabling the CVMs to interconnect with the customer's private network. The routing for interconnection with the IDC's private network is determined by the policy during the delivery and grid-connection phase.
