What Is Load Balancing

CLB distributes traffic across multiple backend servers. This service scales out your applications' service capabilities through traffic distribution and enhances their availability by eliminating single points of failure.
CLB sets up a virtual service address (VIP) to pool multiple backend server resources located in the same region into a high-performance, highly available application service pool. It distributes client network requests to this server pool based on application-specified rules.
CLB monitors the health status of backend server instances in the server pool, automatically isolating instances with abnormal status. This resolves single points of failure in backend servers while enhancing the overall service capacity of applications.
Tencent Cloud's CLB service features advanced capabilities such as self-service management, self-healing for faults, and protection against network attacks. It applies to diverse user scenarios including enterprises, communities, e-commerce, and gaming.

CDC Environment's Load Balancing Has the Following Characteristics

The creation entry is the CDC dedicated entry point and must be created in the CDC console. For details, see Creating a CLB.
Billing mode: The CLB service in CDC consists of two parts: cluster fees and instance fees. Cluster fees are prepaid via the CDC console, while instance fees are billed based on usage duration after creation. For details on instance fees, see CLB Billing Overview.
Regions and AZs are displayed as the access-controlled AZs, while resources are actually allocated on the corresponding product service clusters within CDC clusters.
