The backup task configuration is used to set global variables for manual and scheduled backups, including the backup file format and task execution options.
This document describes how to configure backup tasks via the console.
Note:
Only two-node instances of the 2017/2019/2022/2025 editions support configuring backup task execution options to perform instance backups.
Operation Steps
2. Select a region at the top, locate the desired instance, and click the instance ID or Manage in the Operation column to go to the instance management page.
3. On the instance management page, select the Backup Management tab and click Backup Task Settings.
4. Configure the task in the pop-up dialog box and click Save.
Upload Backup File: This setting determines whether the instance backup file is an Archive file or a Unarchived files. By default, the instance backup is archived and then uploaded to COS. If you select single-database backup files, the .bak file of each database in the instance is uploaded directly to COS without being archived.
Execute Backup Task: This option specifies the instance where the backup task runs, either on the primary instance or a secondary instance. By default, the backup task runs on the primary instance.
