Enable the public IP Firewall Toggle. After it is enabled, the default mode is observation and alarm, and no Access Control List (ACL) configuration is required. Access Control is fully open by default.

Log in to the CFW console and check whether the IP address is blocked by CFW by clicking Log Auditing > Intrusion Defense Logs and Access Control Logs. CFW does not limit traffic based on MAC addresses. The cloud network masks Layer 2, so addressing is only possible through IP address. CVM instances communicate with each other through IP addressing rather than ARP.
Can the Bandwidth Alarm Threshold of CFW Be Adjusted or Disabled?
Bandwidth alarm is an important metric of CFW. When traffic exceeds the bandwidth limit, the excess traffic cannot be protected. You can adjust the Level 1 and Level 2 alarm thresholds in the console, but disabling the alarm is not supported.
Do CFW Toggles, Scaling Out, CAM Authorization, and Intrusion Defense Affect My Business?
Enabling the Internet Firewall does not affect your business. However, enabling NAT Firewall and VPC Firewall may cause a brief network interruption of 1 to 2 seconds on CCN. We recommend performing the operation during off-peak hours.
