Since Cloud Dedicated Zone (CDZ) is a dedicated solution deployed in your local environment, its provisioning process differs slightly from that of a standard public cloud product. However, the resource management experience remains largely consistent.
The specific process is mainly divided into the following three steps:
1. Requirement alignment and solution confirmation: Contact the Tencent Cloud team to communicate your business requirements and confirm the CDZ solution.
2. CDZ activation and resource delivery: Complete the business process, and Tencent Cloud will activate and deliver CDZ for you.
3. Cloud resource creation and management: Create and use various cloud services as needed within the delivered CDZ.

Requirement Alignment and Solution Confirmation

Please contact us to clarify to a Tencent Cloud business manager your actual business scenario requirements, and we will provide you with a suitable deployment solution.
Note:
You can communicate with the Tencent Cloud team about a dedicated support plan based on actual needs. For more information about the product technical details or architecture design cases, you can contact us.

CDZ Activation and Resource Delivery

Overview of CDZ Activation

We will confirm the delivery capacity, committed use cycle, and price based on your cloud resource requirements and sign a commercial contract with you.
After the contract is signed and the down payment is made, the CDZ construction process can start. The CDZ construction process is mainly divided into three phases: prerequisite dependency confirmation, basic network construction, and cloud product deployment.

Phase Description

Note:
The following table describes the estimated time based on a 3-month construction cycle. The specific time depends on the actual situation of your project.
Phase
Content Description
Estimated Duration
1. Prerequisite dependency confirmation
If CDZ is to be delivered in your Internet Data Center (IDC), you should have completed the construction of the IDC infrastructure and provide a stable IDC environment.
About 1–2 weeks
1. Basic network construction
1. Complete the delivery, cabling, and deployment of network devices such as switches.
2. Establish a connection between the public cloud and CDZ via Direct Connect (DC).
3. Complete the initialization of network devices.
About 2 months
1. Cloud product deployment
Deploy products on demand, including Cloud Virtual Machine (CVM), Cloud Block Storage (CBS), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), DC, and Cloud Load Balancer (CLB).
About 1 month

Managing Resources in CDZ

After CDZ activation is completed, we will promptly inform you. You can log in to the Tencent Cloud console to use the delivered CDZ.
CDZ provides the same operating experience as the public cloud. The following uses the creation of a CVM instance as an example to introduce the operation process of cloud services in CDZ:
1. Log in to the Tencent Cloud CVM console and click Create Instance.
2. Select a billing mode on demand.
Yearly/Monthly Subscription: prepaid, suitable for long-term stable businesses.
Pay-as-You-Go: billed by second and settled by hour, suitable for short-term or bursty businesses.
3. Select the region where your CDZ is located. For availability zone (AZ), select the corresponding CDZ.

4. Other configurations are the same as those in the public cloud. For details, see Creating Instances via CVM Purchase Page.
5. After verifying that the configuration information is correct, click Purchase Now, and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the payment.
6. After the instance is created, you can manage the instance in the console. The specific usage is the same as that for non-CDZ instances.
