Can I deploy the CDZ in my own data center?

Yes. You can deploy the CDZ in your own or rented IDC.

What do I need to prepare for using a CDZ?

The cloud platform provides network devices, servers, software, and cloud services required for CDZs. For the infrastructure (server rooms, server racks, and all devices for air-conditioning, fire protection, humidity control, waterproofing, and power supply), you can use your own resources or let the cloud platform deal with it.

Is the user experience of CDZs the same as that of public AZs?

Yes. A CDZ is only visible to its owner. All related operations are similar to those of public AZs.

Will the latest technologies and cloud services capabilities be available in CDZs?

Yes. The latest technologies and cloud services capabilities are synched to CDZs.

What services of the cloud platform are available in CDZs?

All services of the cloud platform are available in CDZs.

    Does CDZ support API capabilities?

Yes. The APIs used in CDZ and the availability zone of the central node are consistent. For example, when you create CVM resources, by using the RunInstances API, you only need to enter the CDZ ID into the Placement field to create resources for CDZ.

Does CDZ support CVM virtual machines?

Yes. CDZ uses the same virtualization mechanism as that of the Central Cloud, supporting the virtualization of physical machine resources into virtual machines of various specifications. We can use the same APIs as the Central Cloud to create and manage these virtual machines.
    Support for creating CVM instances.

    Does CDZ support Container VPC?

Yes. CDZ employs the same deployment method as that of the Central Cloud, supporting the deployment of EKS and TKE services. Customers can create and manage container resources in the distributed cloud through container products.

    Does CDZ support Virtual Network?

Yes. CDZ uses the same network services as those of the Central Cloud. The methods for creating and managing VPCs and subnets are consistent. It supports both Central Cloud and distributed cloud within the same virtual network, enabling mutual communication.

    Does CDZ support CBS?

Yes. CDZ supports deploying the same CBS service as that of the Central Cloud, supports binding with Virtual Machines, and allows customers to use block storage in the distributed cloud as the system disk and data disk for Virtual Machines.

    Does CDZ support CFS?

Yes. CDZ supports deploying the same CFS service as that of the Central Cloud, and it can be used in conjunction with various cloud services resources.

    Does CDZ support COS?

Yes. CDZ supports deploying the same COS and CSP service as those of the Central Cloud and can be used in conjunction with various cloud services resources.

    Does CDZ support various databases?

Yes. CDZ supports deploying the same variety of database services as those of the Central Cloud, such as Mysql, Redis, TDSQL-C Mysql, and PostgreSQL, and can be used in conjunction with various cloud services resources.

What PaaS services does CDZ support?

In addition to supporting containers, databases, and other PaaS products, CDZ also supports deploying the same CKafka and other PaaS services as those of the Central Cloud; essentially, if the service exists in the Central Cloud, it can be supported after appropriate adaptation.

Can CDZ support all products of the Central Cloud?

Mostly. The primary feature of the Distributed Cloud is its homogeneity and isomorphism with the Central Cloud, with a consistent control system managed by the Central Region. Therefore, the product capabilities of the distributed cloud can align with those of the Central Cloud, sharing the same product capabilities, documentation, and API capabilities, extending the product capabilities of the Central Cloud to various customer local IDC.
