Step 4: Deleting Resources

After completing the getting started process, you can use the purchased cluster for your official production environment. If the cluster specifications do not meet your business requirements, you can adjust the cluster specifications in the console. For specific operation steps, see Adjusting Cluster Specifications. If you no longer need the cluster, you can delete the cluster resources. We will process the refund based on your billing method and usage duration, and clean up the relevant data.
Note:
This step uses a pay-as-you-go cluster as an example. The deletion process for yearly/monthly subscription clusters is slightly different. For more information, see Returning/Deleting a Cluster
If you delete a cluster, the cluster is immediately removed from the cluster list of your account. All data will be cleared and become irrecoverable after deletion. Please back up your data in advance.
To prevent accidental deletion of internal cluster data (such as topics, groups, and roles) caused by misoperations, the console performs a verification process on your cluster resources during deletion. If resources such as topics or groups still exist, you are unable to delete the cluster.

Operation Steps

1. Log in to the TDMQ for RocketMQ console.
2. In the left sidebar, select Cluster. Select your region, find the target cluster, and choose More > Terminate/Return in the operation column.
3. In the pop-up window, click Delete to delete the cluster.
