Scenarios

Before sending and receiving messages using SDK, you need to create cluster resources and configure the network in the MQTT console. When running the client, you need to configure relevant information.

Prerequisites

Preparations completed.

Creating a Cluster

1. Log in to the TDMQ for MQTT console.
2. Select Resource > Cluster in the left sidebar. After selecting a region, Create Cluster to go to the cluster purchase page.
Configuration
Description
Billing Mode
Supports Monthly Subscription and Pay As You Go modes.
Monthly Subscription: Payment is required before using resources, mainly suitable for relatively stable business scenarios for long-term use.
Pay As You Go: Use resources first and pay later, mainly suitable for testing or short-term situations with uncertain peak traffic.
Region.
Select a region with resources close to those of the client deployment to reduce latency and improve access speed. Cloud products in different regions are not interconnected on a private network and cannot be changed after purchase. Please select carefully.
Cluster Specification
Select Pro Edition. The Basic Edition is sold out. Differences between versions can be checked in Product Series.
TPS Specification
Select TPS specifications based on business traffic requirements. Specifications can be quickly adjusted on the console later. TPS specifications include the total of message production and consumption, with individual messages converted based on configurations. For detailed rules, refer to Billing Overview.
Number of Client Connections
The Pro Edition offers different free connection limits based on TPS specifications. Connections can be purchased separately as needed.
VPC
Authorize binding the newly purchased cluster access point domain name to the VPC.
Public Network Access
Enabling public network bandwidth will incur additional charges. It can be disabled on the cluster basic information page after activation. For pricing details, refer to Billing Overview.
Cluster Name
Enter cluster name, comply with naming convention: 3-64 characters, only comprised of digits, letters, "-", and "_".
Tag
Tags are used to categorize and manage resources from different dimensions.
3. After confirming the cluster information is correct, click Purchase Now. Complete payment on the order payment page, then wait for 3-5 minutes to see the created cluster on the cluster management list page.

Enabling Public Network Access and Getting the Access Point Address

1. Click the created cluster "ID" to enter the basic information page.
2. In the Access Information module, click the Edit Button for public network access, then enable public network in the pop-up window.
3. In the pop-up window for adjusting network bandwidth, set the public bandwidth size and configure a secure access policy for the public network, allowing designated IP access. If no security policy is set, all IP access is denied by default.

4. Click Submit and complete payment, then return to console. The public network will show as enabling. Wait for the public network to be enabled.
5. After enabling, in the client access module, you can see the Public Network Access Address already shows public network bandwidth and IP information.

6. You can confirm network connectivity by the following command:
curl -v http://mqtt-xxxx-sh-public.mqtt.tencenttdmq.com/status/check
Among them, mqtt-xxxx-sh-public.mqtt.tencenttdmq.com is an access point that requires verification.
If connected, you will see output similar to the following:
