  • The phone can not receive text messages properly because it has not been turned off for a long time: you can try to restart the phone.
  • Unable to receive text messages due to abnormal cell phone signal: check the phone signal and try to restart the phone if necessary.
  • Phone inbox is full: you can try to delete extra text messages.
  • SMS cannot be received normally due to abnormal phone settings or hardware: you can try to modify the relevant settings or change the SIM card to another phone for testing (dual-card phone can exchange card slot test).

What can I do if it takes a long time to call the API?

If you find that the request for Access and Tencent Cloud SMS interface takes a long time, you can refer to the following methods for positioning:

  1. Execute dig yun.tim.qq.com Command to confirm whether to use private network DNS. If you use private network DNS, select a nearby Tencent Cloud SMS IP with ISP to configure host, to check whether the problem is solved.
  • If the problem has been solved, it means that Latency may be caused by DNS parsing stuck or DNS parsing cross-region ISP Access. It is recommended to use DNS Proxy or configure public network DNS server.
  • If the problem is not resolved, please execute Step 2 .
  1. Check which connection mode the business uses and whether connection pooling is used.
  • If HTTP requests are sent one after another over a single persistent connection, when a request gets stuck, the subsequent requests are also blocked. It is recommended to use "persistent connection + connection pool".
  • If the business uses short connections, use netstat to confirm that the number of local connections is full. If the number of connections is full, it is recommended to optimize it to "persistent connection + connection pool" mode.
  • Confirm with netstat or tcpdump grab to see if there is a backlog of connected Recv-Q and Send-Q. If there is a backlog, it is recommended to optimize it to "persistent connection + connection pool" mode.
  • If there isa connection through which no request has occurred for a long time (90 seconds), the requester needs to disable the connection to prevent it from being reclaimed by the intermediate network device. A new connection should be created in case of an inadequate number of connections in the connection pool upon the initiation of next request.

Why does it take a long time to receive an SMS message?

  1. Check the request sending time recorded locally and the SMS sending time recorded on the console, and calculate the time difference between the two.

What is a phone number blacklist?

  1. Check whether the request sent is in standard JSON format, and it is recommended that you search the JSON format checking tool on the Internet for troubleshooting and verification. For example, single quotes are mistaken for double quotes, while the standard JSON format should use double quotes.
  2. Check that the parameter name is correct.
  3. Check that the requested field type is consistent with the field type described in API Documentation. For example, confuse JSON strings with JSON integers {"Name":"Xiaoming", "Age":23} , "name" should be a JSON string, "age" should be a JSON integer).
  4. Check whether the value of the requested field is within the range described in API Documentation. For example, the international field can only take 0 or 1.
  5. Check whether the call to API is consistent with that described by API Documentation. For example, when calling the API of group SMS, Packet's format cannot be a single SMS message.

What can I do if a 1004 error is returned?

When you send SMS messages using Tencent Cloud SMS API, if the response packet returns error 1014, use the following methods to locate and solve the problem:

  1. Check whether the format of the text template is correct. For example, " "should be used and the number enclosed in the brackets should be a consecutive integer starting from 1, for example: {1}, {2}.
  2. Check whether the used text template is approved.
  3. Check whether the value (0 indicates common SMS messages and 1 indicates marketing SMS messages) of the parameter type in the request packet matches the type of the used text template.
