Cost Allocation by Tag

    Cost allocation by tag allows you to group your bill data by VOD application or application tag to improve your cost management efficiency. You can enable this feature in the console. The configuration takes effect the following day for daily billing and the first day of the following month for monthly billing. Your historical bills will not be affected.

    Cost Allocation by Application

    You can group your bill data by VOD application, in which case the "Instance ID" field in your bill will be your VOD application ID.

    Directions

    1. Log in to the VOD console and select Application Management on the left sidebar.
    
    
    
    2. Click Cost allocation by tag. In the pop-up window, toggle the feature on.
    
    
    
    3. The configuration takes effect the following day for daily billing and the first day of the following month for monthly billing. After your bill is generated, you can go to Bill Download and download data under the L3: Bill Details tab to view your bill data grouped by application.
    
    
    

    Cost Allocation by Tag

    You can also group bill data by tag, in which case the "Tag key:item" field in your bill will be the tag you add, and the "Instance ID" field will be the VOD application ID.

    Directions

    1. If you want to group your bill data by tag, you need to first create tags in the Tag console. For detailed directions, see Cost Allocation Tags.
    2. After creating a tag, to attach it to a VOD application, select the application in the VOD console, and click Edit tags.
    
    
    
    3. After attaching the tag, click Cost allocation by tag, toggle the feature on in the pop-up window, and your new bill data will be grouped by tag.
    
    
    
    
    
    
    4. The configuration takes effect the following day for daily billing and the first day of the following month for monthly billing.
